What is bumblebee

The bumblebee bat, or Kitti’s hog-nosed bat (Craseonycteris thonglongyai), is recognized as the smallest mammal in the world. Endemic to select regions of Thailand and Myanmar, it measures just 1.1 to 1.3 inches in length and weighs under 2 grams—lighter than a single penny. Despite its minute size, this species plays a critical role in insect population control. However, it is currently classified as vulnerable due to ongoing habitat loss.
